David and Mabel Complete the South West Run - Devon Sevens

Since walking the South West Coastal Path in 2021, David and Mabel his 1934 Austin 7 have completed the 600 mile from Poole in Dorset to Minehead in Somerset, following, as closely as possible, the route of the coastal path.

“Well, we made it across the Dart, but because I totally underestimated the time it would take to navigate the lanes in the S. Hams, we didn’t make it to the Tamar on Saturday.

After a chat over a Pasty & cuppa at Bantham we realised we were running out of time to complete the whole S.W. run as we had to be home by Tuesday. A look at the weather forecast for Sunday and we reluctantly made the decision to head home.

Came as a bit of a shock when we worked out that we had been driving round the coast for 8 1/2 hrs and we’re only 1 1/2 hrs from home by a direct route!!! The remainder of the route was completed successfully this week and we await a full report.
